Everton Club Moldes was founded on 6th April 1922 in the city of Coronel Moldes in the west of Córdoba province as the Pampas draws to an end and the long road to the Andes opens up. The founders, influenced by the Everton F.C. tour of 1909, were mainly Italian, Galician, and Basque immigrants, and the initial meeting took place at the local Italian Society centre.
Although originally founded as a football institution, over the years different sports have been adopted: hockey, bochas, basketball, tennis, and even golf.
The club not only serves as a sporting beacon within the city but also a cultural one, boasting its own cinema/theatre in the centre.
