Everton entertained second-place Universidad Católica yesterday in an open, end-to-end match. Although both sides created clear chances, Ruleteros keeper, Nacho González was the man-of-the-match with a string of first-class stops, including a first-half penalty save.
Just before the end, Rodrigo Contreras thought he grabbed all three points for Everton but VAR adjudged him to have used his arm.
Everton remain in eighth place but have slipped two points behind Palestino and Unión Española, who occupy the last two continental cup slots.
Next up – away to Ñublense on Saturday, 17th August at 20:00.
